I designed this Christmas tree pattern two days ago. It took me about eight hours to knit this. It is a fairly simple design. I made one mistake. There is a visible hole on the side of the tree where I dropped a stitch. Except for that, my little tree turned out pretty nice.
I am not really a sports fan, but my favorite team is playing in the World Series this year, for the first time in 108 years. Because of this, I decided to knit this Cubs baseball logo. I worked on it for about sixteen hours straight, and I just finished it this morning. I must admit that I am very happy with how it turned out.
I designed another pattern with Stitch Sketch, my new iPad app. This little pink Teddy Bear is going to be a gift for my cousin's baby shower. She can hang it on the wall, put it on the baby's dresser, or give it to the baby to play with.
This piece is 100% cotton, and it is my own original design.
I got this new app for my iPad called Stitch Sketch, and it allows you to design your own knitting patterns. It costs $7.99, and it is totally worth it. It is super easy to use, and with every color of DMC thread to choose from, the possibilities are endless!
I finally learned how to do intarsia. I had tried it before, but my finished work was full of holes. This time I was determined to learn, so I watched some YouTube videos, and figured out how to do it.
This is my own original pattern that I made with the Stitch Sketch app. It looks a little bit wonky, but this was my first time knitting intarsia, so I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
I named this design Powderpuff Football because it reminds me of a girl's football jersey from the '80s. When I was in high school they used to have powderpuff football games, where the girls would get to play.
I am going to design a bunch of these patterns, knit them up, and sew them together. I could make knitted quilts or bags. I am also thinking about selling my patterns.
